Skilled Immigration –Skilled Worker
If you are a skilled worker, with post-secondary education or training and a minimum of two years of directly related employment experience in a professional, management, technical, trade, or other skilled occupation, you may be eligible for this category.
To apply you must:
- have accepted a full-time, indeterminate job offer from a B.C. employer in a skilled occupation as outlined in the
National Occupational Classification Matrix
- have a minimum of two (2) years of directly related work experience in the job offered to you
- have, or be eligible for, legal immigration status in Canada
- for NOC B,C & D occupations, meet minimum language requirements of CLB 4 (*1)
- have been offered a wage that is competitive with B.C. wage rates for the occupation
- you must demonstrate that you are able to support yourself according to your (1) annual wage in BC,
(2) location of residence in BC, and (3) number of dependents (*2)

Skilled Immigration –Entry Level Semi-skilled
You may be eligible in this category if you are currently working in B.C. in an eligible occupation in the tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking or food processing industry.
OR
You may be eligible for this category if you are currently working in the Northeast Development Region of the province in any entry level or semi-skilled occupation, other than live-in caregivers, listed as skill level C or D in the National Occupational Classification.
To apply you must:
- have accepted a full-time, indeterminate job offer from a B.C. employer in a specific occupation in
tourism/hospitality, long-haul trucking, or in the food processing industry
·For the Northeast Development Region of B.C., you may apply in any occupation listed as skill level C or D
in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Matrix
- have been working full-time for your employer for a minimum of 9 consecutive months prior to submitting your
application to the BC PNP
- meet minimum language requirements of CLB 4 in all four competencies (*1)
- meet minimum education requirements of completion of secondary education (*2)
- be earning a wage that is competitive with B.C. wage rates for the occupation

2.Completed secondary education

the criteria for one of the federal economic immigration programs subject to IRCC’s Express Entry system:
